FOILED IT!

I had this photo posted on my facebook wall november 8th of 2011 and I haven't really thought of doing a blog post about it.(yikes)

I was actually browsing through my fellow bloggers photos and stuff until i saw this picture from Maggie's page (photo shown below). She said she wanted this nail decals so i commented right away and told her that i have the same thing but the one on her post appears to have a smoother finish.

I bought this nail foils at divisoria (168 mall) for only 80 pesos($1.50)!what a steal?!i dont know where exactly, but its everywhere. it comes in different colors and even patterns. Sally Hansen also came up with this type of nail decals. their so called " Salon Effects". Those comes with a variety of patterns to choose from and I think that retails around $12 with 24 strips. not sure though:((

I've only tried the red one but that's actually enough to give you my honest review about it.

PROS:
inexpensive.
available over the web.
kills waiting time. 'coz its dry in the first place.
no smudging
really stylish
pre-cut to lessen the hassle of manually cutting it!
can be folded in half for shorter nails!
can fit your toe nails as well!
comes with a lot of patterns/colors to choose from.

CONS:
-it does kill the waiting time but wth? the application process is kind of long especially if you're doing this by your self.
-this is a sticker type of nail decal so you have to be careful placing it on your nail bed or else,. HELLO BUBBLES!! you can smooth it out but you have to be really gentle or you'll rip them apart!
-it does chip easily. for the brand that i bought, but just to give you a heads up, my nails are really thin which contributes to the immediate chipping of whatever polish i use.

so that's my review about the nail foils that i got. so far, i really like it! especially the metallic ones. It brings out the edgier side of me :D hope you guys try it out and see for yourself.

if you do have any questions, just ask away :D

nail of the day. black with rinestone

I'm feeling a little blingy lately. And so I've decided to put 'em on my nails.ive painted Elianto's Sparkling Ebony? not quite sure though. :D painted on all of my finger nails except for the on on my ring finger. I panted a silver base color on remaining nail and topped it off with nail stones from etude house I've aligned it on my ring fingers nail and voila! I've achieved a GAGA-esq nails. do it on all of your nails and you'll surely get noticed. Or even more than being noticed.

BTW guys. im gonna be filming a tutorial regarding my previous blog GRADIENT TIGER PRINTED NAILS. I actually tried filming it right now but i always go out of frame. *phew* .

NAIL OF THE DAY..GRADIENT TIGER PRINTED NAILS.

painted tiger colors on each nail gradually fading to a copperish brown color to make some shadows appear. This is my favorite nail art. i've been doing this for almost half a year now and it's been just like a breeze for me to do..

comment below if you want a tutorial in this look.

MAGAZINE PRINTED NAILS

Newspaper printed nails have been one of the most talked about in the nail blogging community. nails printed with news paper. so easy yet so cute. The thing is, it's kinda boring because it lacks colors. I placed in my thinking caps and thought of the same idea but with colors incorporated in it.

i came up with magazine printed nails. you'll have all the headlines on your tips but the next day you wake up, your nails will be the news.

THINGS TO USE:
old magazine
alcohol
cup or container
base coat
white nail polish
top coat

HOW I DO IT:
1. Cut out magazine strips. make sure it fits your nails.
2. Apply base coat to prevent nails from yellowing
3. Apply two coats of white nail polish. (white polish is better than colored ones. you don't want any paper obviously sticking on your nails if you use other base color)
4.Pour alcohol in the container. soak the paper strips on the alcohol for about 2 minutes.
5. Get a magazine strip. Place it on top of the nails press down for 30 sec don't forget the sides for nice and even print.
6. Repeat on all of your nails and apply topcoat.

Now, you have all the headlines on your tips but are made colorful. BTW, Prints are mirror type. but what the hell? its still awesome :D

hope you guys enjoy.
